Live airline fares · no booking fee

Find your next flight for less

AirlineFares compares live fares straight from the airlines — free to look, with no booking fee. Fares book on the airline's own website; where no airline sells one, we name the agent that does.

How it works

Three steps, and the third one happens on the airline's own website.

  1. Tell us the trip

Where from, where to and when. We ask the airlines for their live fares for those dates.

  2. Compare the airlines

Every airline flying that route on those dates, side by side. No one can pay to be ranked higher, because no one pays us at all.

  3. Book with the airline

We hand you straight to the airline's own booking page. The fare you saw is the fare they charge, and the booking is yours.

Why book directly with the airline

Nothing added on top

Comparison sites and agents make their money by adding to the fare you were shown. We can't, because you don't book through us.

Changes go to the airline

Need to move a flight, add a bag or claim a refund? You deal with the airline, who can actually do it. Deal with an agent and you deal with a middleman first.

You know who you're flying with

The airline's name is on the fare and on the booking. Not a partner, not a codeshare surprise, not a mystery reseller.

Free to look, and honest

Searching costs you nothing and we add no booking fee. Booking direct isn't always the cheapest — sometimes an agent bundles a lower fare — and we'd rather tell you that than pretend.

Somewhere to stay, something to drive

Common questions

Is AirlineFares free?

Yes. Searching and comparing costs you nothing and we add no booking fee, because you never pay us — you pay the airline. We earn a commission if you book a hotel or a car through our links, and that's what keeps the site running.

Why do you only show airline fares and not travel agents?

Because a booking made with the airline is the one you can change, refund or chase yourself. An agent sits between you and the people who can actually fix things. Booking direct is not always the cheapest option, and we don't hide that — but it is the simplest one to own. Where no airline sells a fare at all, the card names the travel agent that does and says why.

How can I tell if I'm booking with the airline or a third party?

Before you pay, look at the address bar and the name on the payment page. If it isn't the airline's own domain, you're buying through a reseller — even when the airline's name appears all over the page. A fare much cheaper than the airline's own price usually comes with conditions that explain why: no changes, no refunds, or a bag you pay for at the gate.

Who do I contact about my booking?

The airline. Your booking is with them, so changes, refunds, baggage questions and check-in all go to them. We never see your booking and can't change it for you.

Can I save a flight and come back to it later?

Yes — tap the heart on any fare. It's kept in your own browser rather than on our servers, so it's still there next time you visit, and nothing about it is sent to us.

Do the prices include bags and seats?

They're the airlines' own published fares. What's included varies between airlines and between fare types, so check the fare conditions on the airline's page before you pay.
